A: John: When I did the business plan in 2007, I went through the process of analyzing what our competitors were doing and this process made it very clear to us what our niche needed to be.

We are the only discount dry cleaning operation in the Birmingham area that is passionate about superior customer service. Being with Parisian for over 20 years, I would not go into any business without offering the very best customer service.

We offer very high quality. The dry cleaning and pressing staff we employ has an average of over 15 years of industry experience and prior to working for us they all worked for high end full price cleaners.

Our strategy of everyday value pricing drives our model because we will dry clean and finish 3 times as many garments as any typical full price dry cleaners will. The higher the volume of the garments we process is the lower our cost is to process each garment. The key for us is to keep costs down so we can pass the savings on to our customers in the form of everyday low pricing.

We also request payment when customers drop off versus when they pick up their orders. It’s hard to believe but many customers never come back to pick up their cleaning. Many full price cleaners may have over $35,000 of unpaid orders hanging on their conveyors. We have our money in the bank and don’t have to focus on collecting accounts receivables, so we can focus on delivering superior customer service and quality.
